Mel + Nate are two of the most fun loving, hilarious, down to earth couples you’ll ever meet! I met Mel a few years ago when she was going through a lot of changes in her life, and we stayed friends via social media. I kid you not, every single thing she would post would literally make me laugh out loud! She is SO funny. I even told myself, Melissa, you can’t like everything she posts, she will think you are a weirdo! Ha! I keep telling her she needs a blog because my goodness she is just so raw and real, and I just think she’s so great. And she reached out again for pictures, so clearly she doesn’t think Im that weird… But in all seriousness, her and Nate have a beautiful blended family, with 3 kids, Audrey, Sawyer and Jackson, and the cutest little french bulldog named Patty Cakes. She seriously needs her own hashtag, she’s so stinkin cute! Anyway, here are a few fun pictures of when we met at Colby Farm in Newbury, MA to see the most breathtaking sunflower fields in all the land!
On Thursday, I met up with Sandra and her cute trio for a quick Beacon Hill mini session, and what a beautiful summer day it was to be walking through the charming streets of Boston. The city is sooo quiet right now with all that is going on in the world. But also oddly peaceful. If you have never been to Acorn Street in Boston, you have to go. Honestly anytime of year it is just simply charming. It is a small private way in Beacon Hill with a cobblestone road and pedestrian only access. No cars, no parking, and just ever so quaint and just beautiful. It is also the most photographed street in Boston. We thought this would be a perfect backdrop to get some ONE year pictures of her youngest, Benson. And what a cutie he is! Big sister Lydia, and younger brother Chip had big smiles too and just dote over this baby boy. Such a sweet family, dear to my heart! Happy first birthday Benson!
Everyone who knows me, especially those who have been a client before… knows how much I love the month of May, and that small window when we can do Apple Blossom sessions! I start driving by the orchards May 1st, and they are usually peaking with the white blossoms in mid May, but it can vary. Applecrest Farm Orchards in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire is my favorite local farm and has the best of everything in my opinion including rows upon rows of apple trees! Kelsey + Michael met me there along with their two kids Benton and Eloise to do a session amongst the gorgeous blooms. I remember when Benton was born… wasn’t it just yesterday? It is just so crazy how fast time flies. Eloise is the most elegant, calm, sweetest little girl ever, and as you can see my camera loved her! And to top it off, we went inside the farmstead and got some cider donuts to enjoy!
Bright + Beautiful… If I could name a session that would have been this ones name! I met up with Chris + Jillian at there lake house in Barrington, New Hampshire last week, and what an absolutely beautiful sunny day it was out on Ayers Lake. We had fresh snow fall from the night before, and it was the kind of snow that wasn’t wet, it just blew kind of like glitter all around you. So much fun, just so beautiful, and well… bright! The girls Dylynn + Scarlett did a great job with how hard it was to see out there. The temperature wasn’t too bad for a December morning so we had that in our favor, so we headed down to the dock for a quick Christmas Mini session. These are the sweetest pair of sisters you’ve ever met, and I am not sure their is much that is cuter on little girls then pom pom hats and winter boots to go with your dress!
Oh how I have loved getting to take pictures of the Goldberg family over the years. I just can’t believe how fast kids grow, even though I have the same predicament with my three kids and how they keep getting older! Ha! Amanda had told me about this beach spot that not many know about near Hampton Beach, NH, and that it had beautiful sand and sand dunes. WOW, what a beautiful spot! And not very many people there! Everett & Myra were loving being there at what would have been close to bed time, and we walked all around the sand dunes and that sand just felt so amazing on our feet. Harry always get the husband award, always so cheerful and happy to be doing family pictures (again)! 🙂
