It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I love the Christmas Tree farm Mini’s that I do every year, and just love the classic look that each session produces. We all love those Christmas card photos, and this round of Mini Sessions each year does not disappoint. And add in that golden hour glow, and you’ve got perfection!
No words can ever adequately describe what a special person, and friendship I have been blessed with by my friend Lisa. She is one of a kind, with the biggest heart, she loves like no other, and always inspires me to live my best life, all with grace and also FUN. She is always my adventure buddy, the kind you text the morning of with a random idea, and who always says “yes lets do it!” Lisa + Justin have the kind of family that you just love to be around. Our kids are the same ages, so everybody always has a playmate. We thought that meeting up at the beach was the right spot for them, because well… we both love the Cape and making annual trips to there or Nantucket together with our families every summer. What could be better? It was so nice to see the sand dunes at Hampton Beach State Park before summer comes to an official close. We also made sure to grab some ice cream on the beach after to celebrate! Love them dearly.
Mel + Nate are two of the most fun loving, hilarious, down to earth couples you’ll ever meet! I met Mel a few years ago when she was going through a lot of changes in her life, and we stayed friends via social media. I kid you not, every single thing she would post would literally make me laugh out loud! She is SO funny. I even told myself, Melissa, you can’t like everything she posts, she will think you are a weirdo! Ha! I keep telling her she needs a blog because my goodness she is just so raw and real, and I just think she’s so great. And she reached out again for pictures, so clearly she doesn’t think Im that weird… But in all seriousness, her and Nate have a beautiful blended family, with 3 kids, Audrey, Sawyer and Jackson, and the cutest little french bulldog named Patty Cakes. She seriously needs her own hashtag, she’s so stinkin cute! Anyway, here are a few fun pictures of when we met at Colby Farm in Newbury, MA to see the most breathtaking sunflower fields in all the land!
Every once in awhile I like to pop on the blog with a personal post of my own life, so you can get to know me. I am not sure if you have noticed a lot of blonde haired blue eyed kids in my work, but there is a reason for it! My husband is one of four boys, three of whom are married with kids. And we are currently at 8+ and counting with Lacasse cousins, and they all love to be together, running wild and free. Between the 3 couples we have had on average a baby every 11 months for the last 8 years. There are 3 boys and 5 girls ages 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 9m & another due next month! It is a lot of fun watching these kids grow up together. We met up in my favorite place, Applecrest Farm in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire to do our annual blossom pictures. We hit the blooms just right, and they ran around with sticky fingers from Apple Cider Donuts giggling and climbing trees. Let them be little!
Oh how I love Apple Blossom sessions! Yesterday my daughter Emma and I met up with my sister in law Jillian, and her girls Dylynn and Scarlett at Applecrest Farm in Hampton Falls, NH to do our annual pictures in the the beautiful white apple blossoms. The are here and gone only for about 10-14 days every spring, and I literally drive by and stalk them as often as I can the month of May to time it just right. You never know if a windy day or a rainy day will come through during its peak week and take away the delicate white flowers. Alas, we hit it just right, and overcast days are my favorite because the light is so bright and complimentary. Those little girls…. are just precious!
