No words can ever adequately describe what a special person, and friendship I have been blessed with by my friend Lisa. She is one of a kind, with the biggest heart, she loves like no other, and always inspires me to live my best life, all with grace and also FUN. She is always my adventure buddy, the kind you text the morning of with a random idea, and who always says “yes lets do it!” Lisa + Justin have the kind of family that you just love to be around. Our kids are the same ages, so everybody always has a playmate. We thought that meeting up at the beach was the right spot for them, because well… we both love the Cape and making annual trips to there or Nantucket together with our families every summer. What could be better? It was so nice to see the sand dunes at Hampton Beach State Park before summer comes to an official close. We also made sure to grab some ice cream on the beach after to celebrate! Love them dearly.
When Miranda reached out to schedule a portrait session with her two daughters Poppy & Rosie, oh my I knew they were going to once again be the cutest trio! The last time I saw them they both had little stuffed bunnies they carried everywhere, and Ro was still drinking a bottle! Where does the time go? Miranda is an incredible Mom, one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet… and she’s fun loving, she’s soooo attentive to them, and you just know she is going to give them the world. Those precious girls will know they are LOVED by her fiercely. We met up in Hampton Falls, and stopped over at Applecrest Orchards at golden hour to catch some smiles and cuddles. We were surprised by the beautiful sunflower fields that are so big this year, so naturally we had to take some pictures there too. Such a fun evening, and fall is certainly in the air…
Mel + Nate are two of the most fun loving, hilarious, down to earth couples you’ll ever meet! I met Mel a few years ago when she was going through a lot of changes in her life, and we stayed friends via social media. I kid you not, every single thing she would post would literally make me laugh out loud! She is SO funny. I even told myself, Melissa, you can’t like everything she posts, she will think you are a weirdo! Ha! I keep telling her she needs a blog because my goodness she is just so raw and real, and I just think she’s so great. And she reached out again for pictures, so clearly she doesn’t think Im that weird… But in all seriousness, her and Nate have a beautiful blended family, with 3 kids, Audrey, Sawyer and Jackson, and the cutest little french bulldog named Patty Cakes. She seriously needs her own hashtag, she’s so stinkin cute! Anyway, here are a few fun pictures of when we met at Colby Farm in Newbury, MA to see the most breathtaking sunflower fields in all the land!
On Thursday, I met up with Sandra and her cute trio for a quick Beacon Hill mini session, and what a beautiful summer day it was to be walking through the charming streets of Boston. The city is sooo quiet right now with all that is going on in the world. But also oddly peaceful. If you have never been to Acorn Street in Boston, you have to go. Honestly anytime of year it is just simply charming. It is a small private way in Beacon Hill with a cobblestone road and pedestrian only access. No cars, no parking, and just ever so quaint and just beautiful. It is also the most photographed street in Boston. We thought this would be a perfect backdrop to get some ONE year pictures of her youngest, Benson. And what a cutie he is! Big sister Lydia, and younger brother Chip had big smiles too and just dote over this baby boy. Such a sweet family, dear to my heart! Happy first birthday Benson!
It is such an honor, and such an incredible thing to witness, seeing new families created, and getting to have a camera out with them during these brand new, sometimes exhausting, over the moon happy days. Mark + Jennifer just welcomed their first child, son Dylan this spring during this unique time we are living in with the Covid19 pandemic. They have handled everything so well, and have remained so calm and steady in probably the biggest milestone in life… parenthood during this crazy time. Thankfully they’ve had a little haven down in Cape Cod, Massachusetts to sequester too, and slow down and focus on this little blessing they’ve just been given. We met up at Paines Creek Beach near their home, and got to capture the three of them in the place they love, Cape Cod. Welcome to this crazy, wonderful world baby Dylan!
