When you are with Mark + Jennifer, you can just feel the love. Jenny is absolutely glowing, and is one of the most stunning pregnant Momma’s out there. She is elegance and class, and is one of the kindest people I have ever met. Mark seriously might win the award for best husband ever photographed… he is so adorably attentive to his wife, and he does not need any instruction from me on how to be himself in front of a camera. He cuddles right in there. We know wives set up 99% of these sessions, and when you have a guy like Mark just in the happiest, go with the flow mood, it really makes my job so easy. They are expecting their first child, a son next month and are so excited. We met up at the Harvard University Arnold Arboretum just outside the Boston city limits, and the grounds were already thawed from this winter, and we are just finally starting to see signs of spring. We could feel the warmth of the sun, and it was such a beautiful evening to be outside catching that golden light coming down.
Something about entering into the holidays, and a new baby due very soon. It is just magical. It was the perfect crispy fall afternoon, and I met up with Patrick + Julie to see if we could get some pictures before baby arrives. I am so glad we did because just a few days later they welcomed their baby girl Annie almost a month early! But on this afternoon, big sister Jane and soon to be big brother Timmy and I had fun playing in the leaves, and talking about all the fun fall things we have been doing and had yet to do, like trick or treating! It was a fun afternoon, and I am so glad we did them when we did! They all looked beautiful, and I just love this session so much!
I met up with Caroline + Mark at Wagon Hill Farm in Dover, NH this evening, and oh what an absolutely beautiful September day it was. The kind where it felt like it was mid summer, yet when you looked around you could see the leaves changing to vibrant oranges and reds and yellows already. Soon to be big brothers Max and Austin were troopers given that these golden hour sessions are right at bedtime. They loved touching Momma’s belly and kept telling me SO excitedly that it was another little brother. For this baseball loving family, another teammate is just perfect! Caroline is a friend of mine whom I met when our boys were in preschool together, and we just clicked. She is just so fun to be around! This house full of boys is soooo lucky to have such a caring, fun, thoughtful, kind, happy Momma to love and cherish them. Can’t wait to meet this next ball player!
Every once in awhile you meet that special friend, who you feel like you’ve known forever, and could literally hang out with all day, rain or shine, clean house or messy house, pjs or dressed up. When I first met Maggie, which is a whole other hilarious story… ha… I knew instantly that we would be lifelong friends. She is one of the happiest, light hearted, fun loving, giving, encouraging, do anything for anyone kind of person and she is just pure magic! Her and her husband Will have made an incredible family, 4 little boys and one more little boy on the way due right before Christmas. Her house full of little princes is so much fun, and I can’t wait to see the fifth prince join his brothers. To know them is to adore them, and I am so lucky to call them dear friends. We popped over to the field near her house and as you can see, she is just gorgeous. Simply stunning. A beautiful bright person, inside and out.
Well we are almost to spring here in New England, and Jess and Lou are not only ready to come through the long winter, but are also nearing the home stretch of waiting on baby brother to make his arrival. We met up at Plaice Cove in Rye, New Hampshire to capture a few pictures before he gets here. Big brother Nolan was enjoying the thrill of a beach day in March as we chased him around bribing him for a few pictures in between his adventuring out there. A chilly but beautiful afternoon during this first week of spring!
