Everyone who knows me, especially those who have been a client before… knows how much I love the month of May, and that small window when we can do Apple Blossom sessions! I start driving by the orchards May 1st, and they are usually peaking with the white blossoms in mid May, but it can vary. Applecrest Farm Orchards in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire is my favorite local farm and has the best of everything in my opinion including rows upon rows of apple trees! Kelsey + Michael met me there along with their two kids Benton and Eloise to do a session amongst the gorgeous blooms. I remember when Benton was born… wasn’t it just yesterday? It is just so crazy how fast time flies. Eloise is the most elegant, calm, sweetest little girl ever, and as you can see my camera loved her! And to top it off, we went inside the farmstead and got some cider donuts to enjoy!
Every once in awhile I like to pop on the blog with a personal post of my own life, so you can get to know me. I am not sure if you have noticed a lot of blonde haired blue eyed kids in my work, but there is a reason for it! My husband is one of four boys, three of whom are married with kids. And we are currently at 8+ and counting with Lacasse cousins, and they all love to be together, running wild and free. Between the 3 couples we have had on average a baby every 11 months for the last 8 years. There are 3 boys and 5 girls ages 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 9m & another due next month! It is a lot of fun watching these kids grow up together. We met up in my favorite place, Applecrest Farm in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire to do our annual blossom pictures. We hit the blooms just right, and they ran around with sticky fingers from Apple Cider Donuts giggling and climbing trees. Let them be little!
Oh how I love Apple Blossom sessions! Yesterday my daughter Emma and I met up with my sister in law Jillian, and her girls Dylynn and Scarlett at Applecrest Farm in Hampton Falls, NH to do our annual pictures in the the beautiful white apple blossoms. The are here and gone only for about 10-14 days every spring, and I literally drive by and stalk them as often as I can the month of May to time it just right. You never know if a windy day or a rainy day will come through during its peak week and take away the delicate white flowers. Alas, we hit it just right, and overcast days are my favorite because the light is so bright and complimentary. Those little girls…. are just precious!
Oh this family! If you have followed my work thus far, you may recognize the Goldberg family from past sessions. Amanda and I go way back to our JCrew days, and everytime we get together for photos we talk a mile a minute catching up on all the things that have happened in both families since the last session! I just adore her, and her husband Harry is just such a trooper and happy to do the smiling husband thing because we all know it is the wives who book these things! π Everett and Myra have grown so much, and are the cutest brother sister duo! Applecrest Farm in Hampton Falls, NH did not disappoint, and the apples were so delicious! Love this time of year!
Can hardly believe summer is winding down here in New England, and talks of school and apple picking are filling our conversations. What a beautiful summer we have had! Today we had another sunny day to be over at Applecrest Farm Orchards to take some pictures of Lydia and her brother Chip. They were so happy to be in the apple orchards, and Chip who is just starting to walk was finding the terrain to be so much fun to explore! Lydia is a beautiful little girl, and I just love all the twirling that ensued as we walked the grounds there. Both are wearing family heirloom outfits, and as you can see, they were just precious.
