Talk about the most beautiful Nantucket wedding day, for the sweetest couple. My favorite thing about Dylan and Christine is how light hearted they both are. They are both just so well balanced, and focused on the most important and simple things, and they both have such a calm about them. They are just happy to be together, smile and laugh, poke fun and then give each other and then hug and a kiss and repeat. They complement each other so well, and neither of them take themselves too seriously. So much love and laughter, and playfulness, including with their family members.
Christine and Dylan decided to have an intimate waterfront ceremony, on the most beautiful July day on Nantucket with just their immediate families, and it turned so perfect. Weddings are magical on Nantucket, regardless of the size of the guest list, and The Wauwinet was the perfect venue for their big day. It is an iconic luxury resort for a Nantucket wedding, and has jaw dropping views everywhere you look. The staff took such amazing care of the bride and groom, and created such a warm and friendly atmosphere for them to have the perfect first day as husband and wife. The Wauwinet has the historic coastal charm, and all of those little things about it that makes everyone fall in love with Nantucket.
The ceremony they had was down on the Zen deck near the oceans edge. Close enough to hear the waves, and see the seagulls fly by, but just a quick walk from the venue. Not very many dry eyes amongst the family when Christine was walked down the aisle by her father. It was a beautiful ceremony, officiated by Dylan’s sisters husband who did an amazing job! The cocktail hour had string lights overhead, hydrangeas surrounding everyone, delicious appetizers, dancing, (including the bride and grooms first dance to Leon Bridges ‘Beyond’ which was amazing), and lots of happy in between moments celebrating the happy couple.
Towards the end of our time we got to walk down at sunset to take some of those sunset portraits that you know us wedding photographers love… and they did not disappoint! Thank goodness I had Dylans sister, she was the biggest help, and also kept everyone laughing while we did the last bit of picture taking for the day!
Dylan + Christine, thank you so much for having me, it was the most beautiful day for a very special couple! I hope to see you again soon, and hope that you bring Kane to Nantucket in 2025 to visit!
Joyfully,
Melissa
