It was such a JOY to capture Matt + Marissa’s stunning wedding at The Lakehouse. A picture perfect, sunny, warm September day in Halifax, Massachusetts that was truly beautiful. It was also such a pleasure to work with the Sapphire Event Group team, they were truly flawless. Watching Matt, Marissa and their baby Lily join together in front of family and friends had so many of us in happy tears. Between the bright sunlight during the ceremony, and all of the interactions between them, I was glad I had a tissue in my pocket to help me see clearly!

September in New England really kicks off a variety of fall colors… and mixed in with everyone’s sun kissed skin coming off of summer…stunning. The warm blush tones, gorgeous florals, to the incredible food, the atmosphere on the water… the whole day was perfect. The Lakehouse is near Plymouth and Cape Cod, and sits in between East and West Lake on a little peninsula. The Lakehouse provides a unique alternative to Newport, Cape Cod, and the Islands.

Every vision and detail, big and small that Marissa had for her big day was perfection. I knew from their engagement session that she was insanely talented, but this was truly blew me away. She clearly spent so much time thinking through so many thoughtful details, I know so many of her guests felt the same. From baby Lily’s details, to her colors she chose for the wedding, to all of her photographs she had throughtout the venue…even included on her dads tie, the way she honored her mother at the reception… you will have to scroll to see all of them. I have never met someone as thoughtful as Marissa, she has a huge heart!

Matt + Marissa, I have loved every milestone we have captured together, and am truly honored to have been a part of so many special moments. This is a wedding and family I will not forget… wishing you many more happy, healthy days ahead together as your chapters continue being written.
