Babymoons… always such a special time for a husband and wife to savor time with just each other, while anticipating all that is to come ever so soon. What a gift it is to get away before life changes! When Bella inquired with me, I immediately fell in love with her story, and how much she and David were absolutely over the moon to be becoming ‘Mom + Dad’ so soon! She had so much excitement in her emails, and I just felt so happy thinking about how loved this little baby will be.

We decided to meet up on an early October evening at the Sankaty Head Light, and then head over to Miacomet beach to end our time together. When you reserve a date, you never know what the weather will be like. And most people typically hope for a sunny, sunset-y kind of session. The day arrived, and it turned out to be a very windy, overcast October day in Nantucket. These are the kind of days that coin Nantucket ‘The Grey Lady.’ However, even still, the fog and fluffy clouds that surround you are still absolutely beautiful to me, because again, Nantucket has my heart! It takes a lot of trust with your photographer to believe that images will still be what you had hoped to capture. Bella was so easy going, and so calm to trust me when I told her that the windy sessions can be absolutely magical. And as you can see below, she was an absolute vision. Her beautiful dress and hair blowing in the wind were something I could not get enough of. Just simply STUNNING! Her adorable little basketball belly perfectly showing, the wind pulling the fabric tight against her tummy for all to see… it was perfect!
